Small bathroom Lux Vinyl flooring color ideas.

I'm redoing a small bathroom. I'm having trouble deciding on a color. I think I prefer 3" to 5" planks in oak because it will work better with the existing real wood floors in my 1942 house. I want the bathroom floor to look like it belongs. Here's a photo of what is underneath the plywood cover and some of the room. The walls are painted a soft grey green with darker wood accents here and there. Any ideas for color?

I never like fake wood anywhere next to real. This a great place to do atile look vinyl like LVP but tile look . Better if you post a pic of the whole space it looks like you are just doing part of the floor ?

It won't be next to real wood. I'd like advice on the wood look not on tile.

Clarification please: Is that hardwood flooring staying in front of the vanity? and are you planning to install LVP where the flooring was ripped out? It would also help to see more views of the bathroom, maybe from further back.

Save the old hardwood flooring if you intend to rip it out. If a piece is needed later to feather in with the original flooring elsewhere in the house, you will have it.

Sheet vinyl doesn't have openings between planks. It is a piece of cake to keep clean. Many colors and patterns are available that will complement the hardwood flooring in the rest of the house.

Thanks. I was asking for opinions about the size of planks and color ideas. I don't like the current trend of 7 in in wider. The bathroom is small and the current picture pretty much takes in much of it. I don't remember mentioning anything about tearing flooring out.

There's old red oak flooring in front of your vanity. That's the part that we don't know if you intend to rip out or keep. If you keep it, the new floor should also be red oak with the same width.

I think going with 3" planks will provide a nice look that is updated - assuming your other hardwood floors are 3" it would make sense to keep the same. It's a personal choice. If you can get samples to lay out in the space it would help in making your selection.

Part of the floor seems taken down to the plywood, and part of the floor shows hardwood in front of the vanity. I asked for clarifications which I didn't get nor did I see more pictures showing more of the bathroom as all we can see now is very little of it. As for the colour, I'm presuming that the hallway is hardwood? Any wood look vinyl you install in the bathroom will never come close to looking like your hardwood floor if it's anything like the very small area we see in the picture you posted above. Give more details, show more pictures, and you might get better suggestions.

Here are the selections I've made so far. I'd go with the middle one hands down but it's 6 in. Wide planks. That's the only thing stopping me. The other two come in 3 in and 5 in. And are oak which works with the other rooms. The hallway is not hardwood it is plank vinyl stone look. I wish there were more 3-inch and 5 inch. Wood look plank sizes out there. But right now there seems to be a lot of seven inch and 9 in wide planks. Which, in my opinion, just like the gray look wood,

will eventually go out of style. The thing I always go back to are the classics. Because they last.

Thanks, bearbev. I wondered if it was best to try and stick to what was already in the house. Or at least as close as I could get to it. Bathroom transitions to a laminate hall floor. And 3" in make sense.
