Glass and Wood Stairs – Posts or Standoffs? or Both?

We are building a house and installing maple wood open tread stairs with glass railing. We did this in a previous house like this:

The stairs we are building are more complex than this, and there are stairs, landing, stairs, and then a balcony around the second floor, which will also have a glass around.

We were going to keep it wood and glass, no stand-offs (like we previously did), like this, because we really like the wood posts:

However, since we need a handrail on the stairs, it would look like this – and I don't like it. I don't like how the glass is boxed in.

Since we need a handrail, then I am thinking about switching to stand-offs on the stairs so the glass wouldn't look boxed in, but if we do standoffs on the landing as well, I also want posts on the corners. Our stair builder doesn't think you can have standoffs and wooden posts because the glass wouldn't line up with the posts on the landing.

Does anyone have photos of glass railing on stairs and a landing with standoffs with wooden posts still being incorporated?
