I will try not to make this a long story but I was thinking about the song “I'm In the Mood For L♥ve” and I couldn’t remember who recorded it! I did some interweb searches and discovered that the song was introduced by Frances Langford in the movie Every Night at Eight released in 1935. This was a wee bit before I was born so I searched on and there are dozens of recordings. I went to bed and decided that my remembrance was probably the recording by ‘The Chimes’ or ‘The Flamingos’. I snapped out of sleep at 3:30 am and remembered where I probably heard the song first - for me the best version.
