Flooring Advice - match new room to the existing Floor

Hi All,

We are doing a small renovation in our apartment which required removing a wall and buiding a new one. We hoped to be able to use the same floor but because it is glued (to concrete .-picture attached) we need to either install similarly looking flooring for half of the room or just remove the entire flooring in the room and choose new flooring.

We are also conscious of the flow from the hallway to the room...

We were able to find a new version of the line used in our house (the manufacturer shifted from Black fill to color -see pictures of samples compared to existing floor)

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated here (use similar flooring in the entire room, choose something different (and accept the abrupt change form hallway to the room)

All,

Thank you everyone for the help and attention. I wanted to share a picture of the final result.

We decided not to remove the existing floor (left side of the picture) mostly due to the concern that it may cause damage to the floor closer to the entrance and corridor. Our number one priority was to keep the smooth transition of the flooring between all the rooms.

We did find the exact same floor (https://www.qualityflooring4less.com/bella-cera-villa-borghese-dante-hardwood-flooring.html). The difference is due to the fact that the manufacturer stopped injecting/adding black color to the floor.

We hope that with furniture, the result will look unnoticeable and not patchy.

Should we change tone/look comepltley or try to go with the sample (which is generlaly very simialr) ?

The tone is nice. a little lighter would also work.

I did this one in my room. (Calif Classics Med. Line-Granville)

in that room, the colors don't look off from the new pieces. can they be blended? what will go over that space? if it's a bed or something, or even a rug, you won't be able to tell. maybe save you quite a few thousand

You can definitely see the difference between the two sections of flooring. Would you consider placing a large rug in this area. That would cover most of the idfference and make it less noticable.

It is slightly noticable, but, it actually looks good. I dont think it will be all that noticable, once you get furniture in, and if you dont tell someone, so they actually look for a difference.
