White oak (not sure if that's what your picture shows) is beautiful and very popular now. I think most here would advise you FIRST to make sure you have figured out a functional layout. If you're only looking for color feedback: I'm not sold on the mix of finishes on the island. (If you want to mix finishes, I'd do all the perimeters in one finish and the island in another.) Also, the highly defined grain shown in your inspo is pretty, but could be limiting when choosing other elements like counters and backsplash. I'd want to make sure I got a sample door and understood what the cabinet maker considers reasonable variation and what shade differences they deem suitable.

☝️Agree. Plus, two toned finishes look great in larger kitchens, disjointed in smaller spaces. If you want a darker finish you could consider using a darker wood.
