Need help with exterior paint colors that compliment Basket Beige

Hi! The existing brick is painted Sherwin Williams' Basket Beige (I think). It is in too good a shape to justify painting it but want to update trim, dormers, garage door. Thinking for the trim a warm white but not too yellow, like Alabaster. The struggle is when it comes to the dormers and garage door. Any thoughts on what colors compliment? The roof shingles are dark (blackish).

For any suggestions you need to post pictures of your home.

POst pics in a comment wait until no longer grayed then submit , it is often hard to add to the original post so use comments I do not like beige so I would probably open my mind to also painting the brick since it is already painted not a big job.

SW Dover White would be better suited than SW Alabaster.

Are you looking for a traditional look, or would a blue/green interested you?

The areas I would be painting would be the dormers, garage door, trim/fascia, and the siding about the stone.

I agree. The current trim color is really pulling yellow so while I want to stay in the warm white, it definitely needs to be lightened up. The area on the left is stone. The porch is also the brick, just shadowed.

SW Sea Salt would be a nice color to compliment your SW Basket Beige Brick color.

to lighten the dormer siding and garage door. And to soften the dark roof.

Use a soft white for the trim if you are set on that.

Off whites can be tough outside because the light often makes them appear white. I did SW Alpaca at 75% to get the off white look on my trim.

I would paint the dormers and the gable in Basket Beige, trim in a warm white. Front door and garage door the same colour.

Beige and off white can be tricky. Use a large posterboard to check at different times of day, because different light can bring out strange undertones.

The Sherwin Williams website lists Moderate White SW6104 and Dover White SW6385 as coordinating colours to Basket Beige SW6143.

The proportions and balance/symmetry of the house will be changed depending on how it is painted. It would be helpful to see the whole house from side to side.

Would it be possible to paint the gable above the stone portion? If so, I would suggest painting the garage door and gable the same as your front door, which seems to look very good with your other colours. Dormers the same as the brick.

Maybe consider how to create a less broken up facade, as now is the time. Even with painting the areas you mention, I feel more is needed to connect the house overall. Suggest using Basket Beige on all that your mentioned + the brick on left below the siding, and paint your front door a lovely color that feels brighter and more welcoming.

Hope this helps with the vision.
