I like this one color all-over dark olive green for your house.

Is the exterior also changing? That porch looks a bit iffy to me. I would be very concerned with all those trees so close to the house , the roots have to somewhere. If all stays the some outside then I think a green would be a choice for sure. Take a look at the house tracefloyd posted and notice the size of the entery cover , IMO that is the size you need that gable you have is way out of proportion to the porch.

    I like the green too.

The current highly-contrasting trim, especially on the window trim, makes the house look cheap, IMO. (Attention is drawn to the trim when painted this way, and your trim is TINY. Tiny trim is cheap.)

I’d do the body of the house in the green shown and the trim a shade or two darker of that same green.

    Tree removal is desperately needed.

it’s personal but i would want something light and friendly - I’d do SW tony taupe with SW shoji white trim

Another vote for green. It’s a great house with a lot of potential! I hope you keep us updated on your progress!

To be honest, the house seems a bit menacing, probably due to the oversized porch. Painting it a dark color will only add to the unfriendly, less open feel. Go for a light color as suggested below, even light grey/taupe and off white. (The reason the olive in the pic below looks okay is the scale of the porch; it's smaller.) You've got to wonder why the columns are boxed in oddly. What's this boxing around the column hiding

What direction does the house face? Are the windows staying white? If so, I would opt for a lighter color. Are there any colors you're drawn to. SW Clary Sage is a neutral with warm undertones. BM October Mist has the same warm undertones. The dark color with the dark door as is doesn't seem very inviting. This house could have a very pretty cottage feel with the right choices. I also agree with Patricia about the trees. As much as I hate to see trees removed, those are just going to cause trouble for the foundation at some point.

I think a light color would give the house more life. If it appeals, something like SW Oyster Bay (light gray/green) could be nice.

I am still working on the remodeled and we have removed a lot of trees. Please share your thoughts on this color combination for the exterior of this home. The main body will be Dorian Gray SW 7017, Porch Floor and Porch Ceiling will be Peppercorn SW 7674, door - Iron Ore SW 7069, Columns, Trim and Fascia will be Pure White SW 7005. All paint is Sherwin Williams.

It looks so much cleaner and fresher with the trees gone! It's only my opinion, but those colors seem so dark and depressing for a house that has more of a cottage feel. It could be so pretty in a shade of green with cream trim and a brighter door. Would you consider looking at a color like 6730 Romaine? You could use Westhighland White for trim.
