My only suggestion would be to go dark(er) on the upholstered furniture, especially with teens, pool & klutzy people like me. While furnishing our second home ( with a pool ) we initially ordered ivory sofas & then it dawned on us that was a stupid decision, pool, young grandchildren, etc. canceled the sofas & reordered much darker. Even spilled coffee & red wine hasn’t fazed it.

It's all neutral, lacks any real color, so I am not getting where the "fun" is? Seems very indoor living room to me: ) good looking, but not at all suggestive of a nearby pool, let alone any teens and their more careless habits..

It need not re;late to the interiors of the home, but a connection to poolside furniture is nice,

I'd want forgiving upholstery, where ONLY the cushions may need to ever be recovered, and I would use outdoor fabrics suitable for wet bathing suits.

Also depends locale, and climate. such as tropical, or just a seasonal summer use of the pool.

What I see in your inspos, are sophisticated walk out basement man cave, or actual living rooms.....nothing suggests OUTDOOR , but that's me.

You have to do what is appropriate to locale and users. As expample, a basement that opens to patio and lake side living, .......AND fun a priority whether teen or adult, and guests galore all summer, door at right leads to bowling alley : )

I think you really want a pulled together look. Never decorate with white cloth furniture....it doesn't stay white for very long. Artwork and lamps is where you can bring in some decorative "FUN".
