Best Siding Color + Trim Strategy for Pink Brick & Yellow Windows

last month

Hi everyone — I’d really appreciate input from experienced painters and color professionals.

We’re updating our exterior and working with pink undertone brick and existing windows that read fairly yellow/cream. My goal is to create a cohesive look that softens both tones rather than making either stand out.

Where I’m unsure is the best approach to trim and window surrounds.

From a design standpoint, would you recommend:

Option 1: Blending the windows

  • Using a warmer tone (like Neutral Ground or Shoji White) around the windows to soften the yellow
  • Pairing with a siding color like Zinc Luster or Felted Wool

Option 2: Framing the windows

  • Using a consistent trim color (like Shoji White) for both fascia and window trim for a cleaner, more defined look

I’m trying to determine which approach works best in real applications with warm-toned brick and existing window colors.

Also open to input on siding direction (Zinc Luster vs Felted Wool) and door color (Iron Ore? Caviar?)

Thank you so much — I truly appreciate your expertise!
