If your oven has a "convection bake" setting, try that first. I see it as just another thing that needs to be stored. My DIL got rid of her air fryer when she got a new range, and started using convection bake.

My mother and sister love theirs. My sister has had them for years and recently did research for a new one that had heating elements that could be cleaned properly. Many of them have heating elements that aren't easy to clean. She settled on this one below and then my mother and I bought them too. They have sales/deals on amazon, so we paid less than msrp.

I haven't used it much, but my DH has started to use it for cooking chicken and bacon. My young adult son has a smaller one and uses it all the time. I keep mine in the pantry and pull it out to use, but my mother has hers on her counter so she can use it easily.

I bought a toaster oven air fryer combo. Fits a frozen pizza. Have barely touched my kitchen range ever since! Yes they're worth it!!!

I appreciate the feedback. I really dislike kitchen “ gadgets” , so I will have to think about this a little longer.

Tonight I roasted sliced potatoes in the air fryer and then added a salmon pinwheel for the last 14 minutes. No pots to clean as I have paper liners for the inside of my air fryer. I make toast in the morning and fry sausage links. You can fry items like fish, French Fries etc without dropping them in oil. Less mess and more healthy.

Don't select one made with plastics that will transfer forever chemicals to your food. Get the new ones with the glass basket instead.

I know plenty who have purchased them and then never used them. These people do not adapt to change well.
