Brad: Great color on the lupines. Peonies here are also blooming. Always love iris but still haven't gotten any and at this point not sure where I would put them. I still have a lot of weeding to do but that is another long story.

Lupines generally don't like it here because they are usually considered a cool-weather plant. Yours look terrific--and grown from seed! What kind of lupine is it? The iris are really blooming this year.

Mantis, I don't really know what kind it is. I got it from my sister-in-laws neighbor back in SW PA and he never keeps track. I've got 2 more growing that may bloom next year and might be purple, but when I go to PA I'm going to get more purple seeds to be sure I have the purple.

Julia, yes I direct sowed them. I like yours. I think the other one that won't bloom til next year may be a similar color. If I get enough seeds I'll send you some.
