Has anyone ever used a temporary tub?

My son and his wife are currently house hunting. Yesterday we saw a house that was almost perfect. It has been completely remodeled in the last few years. The upstairs has 4 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bath. The issue is they all have walk in showers. Right now the kids are 5yo, 3yo, and 9 months so bath time is absolutely a thing for at least a few more years. There is a freestanding tub in the primary on the main floor. That is usable, but not the best option for every single night. I was looking online at options and found a few portable tubs and wondered if anyone has ever used something like this. As the bathrooms are all basically brand new, redoing to add a tub seems unlikely. Or any other suggestions would be welcome.

I'd probably go ahead and convert one of the showers. One of the kids is only 9 months old, that's a lot of years to enjoy a fun bathtime.

I guess you could put it in the shower stall, and replace the shower head with a hand-held for filling and rinsing.

But hey, it’s summer, take them outside and hose them down!

They sell smaller inflatable tubs for kids that can be placed inside a shower.

My kids started showering daily at around 5 years old, with the tub (with bubbles) being a treat once a week or so. By age 8 they rarely wanted to use the tub.

I wouldn't pass up an otherwise "perfect" house due to this.

Sorry, I probably should have clarified. The plan is to just place a temporary tub in one of the shower stalls. The tub has a couple of drains on it. All of the showers have a handheld so we would use that.

@vacaytime having the the hand held in shower and drains cleared out the vision of a “bucket brigade” for filling and emptying the tub.

You might want to temporarily remove the door or panel in the shower, so you have room to maneuver yourself. Actually I can think of plenty of good uses for that tub in the shower later, for soaking and cleaning big stuff.

This house hunting process has made me happy with my choice to keep a tub/shower combo in the guest room in the current remodel of my cabin. This is the one issue that has made my son put the brakes on making an offer. Any of the other issues they have with the house are all things that can be dealt with over time, but this one is really impactful as far as day to day functionality. The funny thing to me is that the location is very sought after due to the school district, so most people moving into the area have young children. This house has a total of 7 bathrooms and the only tub is in the primary.

Kids are showering younger and younger. Do the older kids not showered now? My 2 yo grands have been showering for quite a while with a parent or sibling. Their pedi also suggests not bathing every day but only when physically dirty or smelly.

If the house was perfect otherwise, I'm not sure that would stop me or my DD in getting this house. She moved last summer and I think newly remodeled baths would be more attractive than 2 of their original baths.
