Why I love Spring

Breakfast in the Gazebo. We have had the most amazing Spring. The past week it has been mostly rain. My gardens are incredible.

Breakfast in the gazebo with DH is almost a daily treat. The birds and flowers , fresh mowed grass. The sun is shining and cooler 70’s/50’s are the forecast.

Fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and my whole wheat toast.

Your gazebo looks lovely Carolyn! And the home-made bread and fruit mix-up looks like pure heaven!

We've been at one of our rentals for the last 3 weeks. We arrive around 8am, leave around 5pm. I bring a sack-lunch, picnic lunch type meal...and we have a Kitchenaid BBQ we're leaving for the new renters arriving this Monday. Note: We're inbetween tenants. Our last young tenant was working for the DA and passed the BAR exam. He got a job in Denver and moved...leaving the rental empty, but paid for a month early. We've been working on upgrading it...doing a "Refresh". We added a solid wood Pergola. DH designed it, cut it out, built it in a week! Two years ago we added a Gazebo, it was a kit. Hummingbirds are flying by, saw a Tanager today!

I grabbed FREE patio furniture off Facebook Marketplace. Upholstered the chair seats with Sunbrella....also leaving THIS for the new tenants.....it's been raining the last two days....

And then DH made lunch. Wonderful breeze . Honey Smoked Salmon and Spring vegetables and Feta with Kalamata olives and with EVOO and White Balsamic Vinegar. He spoils us!

Indeed! The only other cook than me, in the couple dozen closest family members, lives an hour away. Having one at home is such a boon! I hope he knows your appreciation extends to telling us about his efforts.

Somehow the picture didn’t come through. Yes he knows I have my imaginary internet friends lol.

And he does all the dishes and puts everything away and is the cookie baker. He is very special.

It is Sunday so breakfast is special. DH made his biscuits and omlettes. yum! in the gazebo

@porkchop_z5b_MI thank you. he uses 4 eggs salt and pepper and a pile of grated aged cheddar and sliced ” cocktail tomatoes on the vine” chiffonade of fresh basil when served. He starts on the stove top then runs under the broiler. So yummy and no fuss or muss. c

Dinner in the Gazebo. We only eat 2 meals a day. 8am and 3 pm. DH grilled chicken on his iron griddle. Roasted 1/2 baked potato ( I cut them baste with EVOO and roast in toaster oven on parchment at 350° for 1 hr. ) roasted fresh beets and steamed Brussel Sprouts.

Dessert was his breakfast biscuits with fresh Strawberries and ice cream .

I need a nap lol.
