no need to have a dresser if your closet has ample drawer space.

don't know if you plan on hanging a tv across from the bed, but a shallow console can work underneath it.

it's really a personal choice what you want in your bedroom. and really, without any photos or even an AI rendering of what the space will look like, it's difficult to provide advice.

If all you're going to have is a bed and two nightstands, it will look sparse. don't know what your plans are for other design options, color, rug, etc.

I’ve seen a bedroom or two when a couple has a massive, well-designed walk in closet (or two - one for him, one for her). Dressers aren’t necessary in those bedrooms and can make it feel roomier.

There is no reason to have a dresser if you don't need one. That said if that creates a space that looks empty then find something else to replace it.

If you plan a lot of built in drawers and storage in the closet, don't worry about a dresser or chest. My house in California was designed by an architect who studied under FLW. All the bedrooms had builtins. There was no where to put a dresser or chest and it wasn't needed.

This isn't my house but here's a bedroom in an FLW designed house in Hawaii that was similar. A place to sleep and relax. Very little furniture and what was there was built in like the side tables. The closets holds all the stuff dressers and chests normally would.

My daughter and son in law did away with their dressers in their master. They each have a closet in the en suite, and she hangs a lot more of her clothing, more than she used to and incorporated on the shelves in the closet, little cubby baskets for undergarments and such and for his closet bigger cloth cubbies for his undergarments as well. It works out really well. She’s the same way just didn’t want or need a dresser, although they had room for one, but gave them much more open space in their bedroom.
