Edit your post. If you want advice on a space you post a floor plan. In addition to you who lives there? How do you use the kitchen? Do you cook often or not really? Do you entertain? Since your space is now open concept more than the kitchen floor plan is needed

What westcoast is telling you is that folks need measurements to help you create a layout since kitchens are designed by inches - especially important here as it looks like you already have cabs for the space?

my recommendation would be to delete this post, then create a new post with a measured layout and then add the pics there

You began a remodel w/o a final plan for the kitchen???? I see a giant island, long not necessarily wide dividing your space and giving you a place for storage, but your pictures, are you saying those are all the cupboards you intend to have in your kitchen? Now you are trying to figure out how they will be used? Usually one sets a design and then buys the cupboards to match....

NO poll is going to get you what you want. A to scale floor plan of the whole area you have now is what we need. Show every window, doorway where those lead and every measurement clearly marked . The post here in this post in jpeg foramt in a comment . ONly way to get help. BTW I sure hope you had an structural engineer to advise on how to remove walls right. I have no idea why there are a bunch od dated style cabinets in the space . You do not buy cabinets until you have a plan

Those are the old cabinets and I was just trying to see what it would look like across the back wall, feels like a lot. No issue on the wall removal it was done correctly.

Of course the back wall is really the only place for base and upper without adding walls. The wall is 250” and

If I keep the front (light switch) and pantry that accounts for 71” leaving 179 for cabinets and refrigerators and stove.

I had them planned on a 10’ island which would come 50” from the front of the cabinets.

I don't think you need to start a new post--draw out the floor plan with all the measurements and post it in a response here. Then someone here can begin to help you.

A HUGE issue in these open concepts is having enough walls for stove and sink. The mess on display is a downer.

You can draw one on graph paper. You can use the realtor plan as a start and show where you took down walls.

Our sink is in our island and instead of it being a hot mess we simply clean as we go and keep a lovely clean work space. It isn’t hard at all.

That would be my plan, stove and fridge along the wall and sink and dishwasher in the island

+1 to what @Diana Bier Interiors, LLC says - you need to measure your kitchen and then translate those measurements to a sheet of graph paper (you can print that off on the internet just search for it) - then post that layout here and people will help you. If you don't provide the information folks will just move on

How easy will it be to run plumbing to your island? Are you on a slab or do you have a basement or crawl space?

I have a crawl space and the plumbing and electric will not be an issue, it was there previously.

Waiting for the actual floor plan

Here is the original floor plan, the x’s mark the walls I have taken down. From the hall to the end of the dining room the wall measures 250”. The pantry is 46.5” and wall from hall to pantry is 24.5”. My ceilings are 14’ throughout

I am building a foyer wall coming out from the front door which is 4.5’.

I thought about leaving the pantry and starting the fridge cabinets and stove in the back wall with a 10’ island 48” to 50” from the wall cabinets.

Are you getting rid of the dining room? I am trying to understand how the rendering relates to the newly shared floor plan? Are you getting rid of the closet?

The dining room yes, I plan to put a table and short china closet in the breakfast nook area

In the rendering the pantry is gone.

I am having difficulty reading the plan s measurements and also would be nice to haveit rotated to read . We need info as to how many cooks, what kind of entertaining, how many live in the house etc? The kitchen is large so no need for actaul walls to plan a kitchen but I do need to be able to read the plan

I think it looks great but from the photos the chandelier and fan now look like they are in the kitchen.
