I love all the seedling that have Chance Encounter as a parent! Do they all open well? I got ride of Chance Encounter because it seemed to take most of the day to open. But blooms were beautiful when they did finially open. It does feel a bit overwhelming when so many are opening at once. I couldn't believe how many I had open this morning. It is going fast now! Both you blooms and your foliage looks so clean! I've been trimming off a lot of browning foliage, and I do have bug damage on a lot of these first blooms.

I have two favorites today, Chance Encounter X Egyptian Ibis….is it bitone all of the time? I am a bitone fan. The Amazing Grace X is my other favorite. I enjoy seeing it every time you post it, such a great shape and edge.

When they start to open it’s hard to keep up and catch up! The seedlings are looking good. The cream color Siloam Amazing Grace seedling always catches my eye and that is a wonderful Chance Encounter seedling group!

I had the same experience with Chance Encounter--too long to fully open, though the substance was heavy. Hot Wheels, with the shining green throat, is my favorite of this group. Karen's Curls also caught my eye.

Usually the first week or so of Chance Encounter does not open up completely, then after that it opens well. With the generally cooler temps this year, it is not opening completely for longer. The seedlings that come from it do not generally have this problem. Perhaps a flower here or there doesn't open fully, but not enough to think about it. My favorite from CE, Full Grown x Chance Encounter, is always fully open when I go out in the morning.

Yes, CE x Egyptian Ibis is a bitone all the time. The picture was taken before it was fully open, but I wanted to get it before the rain. It did open fully.
