These roses look amazing and so different. They must love the PNW climate. I’m not usually into red roses, but I want to check these out. Any special care for florist roses?

This is our first time growing florist roses, and we’re definitely not experts. Luckily, the PNW weather is on our side. We’re just treating them like our other garden roses and following the tips from April & Ashley’s Beginner’s Guide to Growing Rose Bushes. Time will tell, but we’re excited to see how they do.

Lovely A&A roses! My faves are: Winner Takes It All, Cappuccino, Westmister Abbey, Hearts & Country Spirit Peonia, all on my wish list! LOL! That’s all of yours on my list! I am esp. intrugued today with Cappuccino! I love the @coffee roses-pink cream-rans.”

VC is grafted bare root , now potted, & growing BIG! She came on March 20, 2026 & wants to jump out of her pot. I must keep her potted to move to PNW, , so she must be temporaily confined. She has many buds for a first bloom!

VC is as big as several pots -the bottom rose.

Hi Kitty, thanks so much for the beautiful photos, they’re lovely. And welcome to Washington! I don’t know much about the Poulsbo area, but Bainbridge Island is gorgeous. One of my former coworkers lived there and absolutely loved it.

We’re up in the North Seattle area. Honestly, I’m not the best person to talk about roses. My girls are the ones who grow them, and I just fell into their trap of opening my wallet for all these plants and this post :). What I can tell you is that we see blooms as late as November sometimes, and some start as early as late May - though not all of them.

Hi, I hope you and your girls enjoy your roses! You could be 30 min. to an hour away from my new home. Maybe someday we will meet. I have alread found a few rosie friends in the Seattle-Kitsap-Tacoma area who grow roses! Soooo exciting! Live sgaring with rosie friends in the area!

I am happy to hear roses start blooming in May through November in Seattle! I love Seattle-lots of gardens, cultural events, ballet, symphony-shoppibg-beaches, Punkes Market-nature! . That’s perfect!

I am very excited! I had a friend in Poulsbo and I love Bainbridge Island!

I was originally born in Tacoma and lived Seattle a year. I grew up and attended CWU in middle of the state. Ivakways thought I may wish to live on thecwesterns side if the state bear Seattle. I love those evergreens and had many friends in that area.

I started rises gardening in 1987 in CA for 17 years, then in Oregon, later in NY 10 years. And now moving back to PNW for ever ever! LOL! I am bring a few if my 80 roses with me.

Ionosphere, you have a beautiful collection of A&A roses. I got Hearts this year and love it. I am trying to resist Cappuccino, but after seeing your garden pictures I may have to order one!

Kentucky_Rose, Cappuccino really seems to love our cool PNW weather. We’re convinced it’s the temperature that influences the color. All of the florist roses that we've got seem to come into their real, intended colors here in the Pacific Northwest.

Gelato is a spray with 10-30 mini blooms on a cane. She reminds me of Italiian ice cream! I love her. A spray’s beautiy is in it’s number of blooms-Wowza! . They do well as the center of other roses in the garden. I just love the mutitudes of blooms. They make beautiful accents to larger blooms in bouquets, too. (Not fragrant.)

Alexandra David Neel is truly a blooming gem-a gorgeous Delbard! SUPER YUMMY! Grand lilac English blooms!

Alexandra David Neel with her strong fragrance, and beautiful lavendar blooms-Ooooooo! I just had to order her and she arrived 2 days ago! She looks like a really healthy rose bush w/ glossy leaves! Very happy! Can’t wait to see her bloom!

Not to late to order Alexandra David Neel . She is superb! Order this summer or fall?? I noticed of my 10 A&A new roses Alexandra David Neel is one of 5 with the best glossy foliage-looks fabulous! Very excited to see her grow & bloom!
