You need to show all four sides of the room, dimensions, and how the room will be used. Will you be dining in there, playing card or board games, reading?

I would add a rug and a coffee table

If that is a reclining sofa, do you recline in it? If so, a coffee table would get in the way of that. I do think you need a rug to bring some lightness to the room. What colors do you like and have in the rest of the house or at least the room that is attached to this one? I would also switch the pillows out to something with a lighter background for contrast against the sofa as Celery showed. Perhaps a rug like this in a bleached jute.

Is your furniture staying? Can you take some photos of the rest of the room and from further back so we can see more of it?

When we do Carolina rooms we generally use lighter fabrics and bring in textures like wickers and distressed woods.

First? Draw the space, measure the space. Show the entry to the space, Show all four angles of the room in pictures and show the room that precedes this with your back to the couch that doesn't feel too "Carolina" , Hilton Head, or outdoorsy? : )

Every room is feet and inches, how you want to use it, how many people. Will there be tv ? snacking? etc.....
