This spring was my first time purchasing bareroot roses from April & Ashley. They offer so many varieties that can't be found by any other reputable growers/sellers in the US. Pictures feature "Velours de Nuit," a new variety, by French breeder Delbard after the rain. It is maintaining a rich, luxurious color in the mid-summer heat of zone 8b. It does receive some shade. Second photo is "Wedding Piano" by German breeder Tantau. Tantau roses can be very difficult to source in the US. Wedding Piano has been impressive in it's first year, putting on a strong second flush, maintaining healthy folliage in a very humid climate, and blooms have not balled for me. Looking forward to acquiring more roses from their impressive offerings!
