Emmanuella De Mouchy - real one that’s HG and not Climbing Tea

Hi friends ,

I am looking to get Emmanuella De Mouchy - the real HG and not the climbing tea Irene Bonnet . I do inderdtand that most US nirseries sell Irene Bonnet . Am looking tonget EDM from Burlington Rose Nursery . And before you ask , yes I have seen the real one in Europe and breath taking is an understatement .

So if you have purchased EDM from Burlington , could you share if its the true one ? The teue one will never rebloom while Irene will rebloom reliably in fall too

Abhishek, you could have an obelisk for decoration, but the plant is naturally graceful left alone. I'm sure it could climb. Maybe 8 X 8 ft.

Went on HMFR to see Emmanuelle De Mouchy. It's one beauty of a rose. What is its bloom size, ~5"?

I got this as EdM probably 10 years ago from RVRs. I do find it reblooms. I later realized it is probably Irene because that is all anyone has for sale really, whatever they call it.

Burling probably knows this story. I think the EdM name is better known so a seller might list it that way since they look identical.

Mine reblooms, even though a young 3-year old plant (was a band from RVR). If it gets as wide as Sheila's I may be in a bit of trouble, but I have a few years to figure out an accommodation -- my garden paths are what you might call "flexible" :-). @Moses, one of the photos on HMF shows a bloom of about 11 cm, so about 4 1/2", say. That is my impression: good-sized blooms, but not humongous. The darker pink reverses are totally charming.

Vapor, the rose is freestanding but there is a clematis up that trellis in the back.

@Sheila z8a Rogue Valley OR how big is yours now ? like over 8-10 feet tall and wide ? can she be grown as a climber against large obelisk ?
