I’m doing a remodel of my kitchen cabinets and island in my Prescott Arizona home. The perimeter cabinets will be a creamy warm white. The island will be a rich brown knotty alder. I am having the builder do a crown molding and a light rail at the bottom of the cabinets similar to the style he did at my West Valley, Arizona home because I like the style and I like the height of it.

My question is this? There is a wet bar and some entertainment cabinets across the room. The crown molding above the wet bar and those entertainment cabinets and the light rail are shorter…maybe two inches and have more bevels to them (as well as some other cabinets in the house down the hall in the laundry room and above the cabinet in the master bathroom).

Should I have him remove these crowns and rails and catch them up to the new cabinets in the kitchen or will that damage the cabinets? He matched the color from my existing knotty so he can make my new island so color will be consistent either way.
