Same here, I'll be going outside shortly just to pick some ripe tomatoes and cukes, then its back inside. Besides the smoke it's just too dang hot & humid anyways.

Rose, that was my plan, but even at 6 am, the smoke and stink (even with my N95 mask) was just too bad. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow.

OT, is anyone else fighting Porcelainberry (Ampelopsis brevipedunculata) taking over everywhere? Never had it before. What a nightmare.

I'm not sure if it's that stuff or some type of wild grape, they're kinda the same thing so yes. It's pretty easy to pull, fortunately.

I ran multiple errands this morning and stopped at the park on the way home for a walk. It wasn't bad in the park, believe it or not -- it just kinda smelled like a campfire burning in the distance, and in the forested part it wasn't overly smoky/hazy, just where the path opened up near the water. What I thought was gee, this is a testament to the benefits of nature, the air is dirty but these giant old trees are buffering it for me.

I have some chores to do outside this afternoon (dragging the hose...ugh!) -- it's the heat and strong sun that makes me want to avoid going out there. I might hold off until evening.

My husband and I both woke up this AM with big puffy bag under our eyes. We both wore N95s yesterday, but I till think the smoke somehow got to our sinuses.

If you can actually smell smoke, your air quality is quite bad. We just have haze and airnow.gov says it's Orange, unhealthy for sensitive groups. I've had slightly runnny nose and slight sore throat for several days.

Here in Michigan everything smells like a campfire and it's smoky enough that some buildings are difficult to see. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow.

It's supposed to be down to 85F tomorrow, but still no rain. We've gotten less than an inch the entire month of July and last week there were highs over 100F actual temperture a couple of days, "only" in the high 90s the rest of the time.

We managed to trap and dispatch 5 groundhogs, and now my garden seems safe for the time being, so tomorrow I have to go out and check my green beans for size, tie up tomato vines and pick cucumbers, plus check the potatoes for bugs. We'll see how far I get and how bad the smoke is.

I’m heading out shortly to water some newly planted perennials. Our air quality is at the ”unhealthy” level, and I have a sore throat. But I’m tired of being cooped up.

Neighbors had a bonfire last night… why would they want to add to this? I wish our municipality would ban them when air quality is a concern. This may be a cause I take up!

It would take a wind out of the north for much of the CA and MN smoke to reach my area. It's been out of the south for most of the last few weeks but is supposed to blow out of the north Tuesday thru Friday this week which will bring cooler air but we may get smoke along with it.
