That is a penstemon, and it reseeds prolifically! Just look for seedlings in the spring. Though, I was thinking 'Mystica'. Either cultivar, I would not worry. It's likely to have babies already

@floral and @rob333 (zone 7b), I agree. And yes, it does look like Husker Red.

I am in a totally different zone, but it will multiply fairly quickly.

I can vouch that 'Mystica' truly keeps its color all year long. And its seedlings are true. It's really pretty, even in winter. Maybe that's why I have so many seedlings, I even like the look of the seedheads long after the blooms are over.
