That is SO cute! Our youngest granddaughter would love this. They are very into Halloween. She has loved bats since she was a toddler, and wore bat Halloween costumes for three years running. The she was Beetlejuice. She also requested a Halloween/Bat bday for her 3rd bday, which is in December. 4yrs later, she still loves bats.

I might make one for them for 2027. Where did you get the cloche? Assuming Hobby Lobby would be the place to buy supplies this time of year.

For anyone who would like to know where I found some of the items - the glass jar is from Target and I got a while back, however they still sell it. The little house I bought at Michaels and they still have it as well. It cost me 3.50. I already had the tree branch and some of the paper covered wire for the the little branches. The fairy lights are from Michaels as well. They have a huge sale of miniatures and I bought a few others I couldn't fit into my little glass jar. I even cut out a flying witch on a broom but it was too big to fit onto the tree as I would have loved that look. I might try again for a smaller witch. It was hard to draw and cut as it is so tiny.

The one thing I had a hard time finding was a base for the jar to sit on without slipping around. I had a ceramic plate that I turned upside down and used a plastic lid to a paint mixing container. I glued the plastic lid upside down to the plate and painted it and added some litle flowers and stems to hide the plastic part.

I got the inspiration from something I saw on Pinterest. You can do so many different things for any season or holiday and I lost myself in looking at all of the cute ideas! This was my main inspiration.

I have a small cloche with a wooden base that I think I got at A-zon. Mine has a birds nest in it. Not very creative!

I did a Micheaal's pick-up order yesterday (30min away), but the "your order is ready to pick-up" email said the little house was removed from my order, along with a couple of other things - unavailable. So I did an online order before leaving. . It hasn't shipped yet.

I looked at Micheal's, then World Market, for a base. The Target across from these stores no longer had the cloche.

Today I drove 45min in the other direction to Target to pick-up their last cloche. I was afraid I chipped or cracked it after doing self-check out with other items and heard it "ding" on the metal cart. Luckily it was not harmed. I looked at Target, then Hobby Lobby for a base. I bought a $5 round wood piece that will work, but I will probably paint. Since I did not see another small house, only larger ones. If the delivery order does not have it either, I will just wait to finish it next year and give it to her before Halloween '27.

DH said it's been awhile since he's seen me be crafty. LOL

Wow, sorry to hear what a pain it was to find everything. I hope your little house is delivered. There are so many out there to choose from. I watched far too many videos on making your own from cardbard and other materials and I couldn't believe the patience those folks had!

That is funny what your DH said! I go in and out of being crafty myself! Sometimes you are in the mood and others you just have no interest. That is how I tend to be.

I enjoyed looking at all the littles in Michael's, so it was fun. If the house comes in, I will use this year and pass on to her next. I don't really decorate for anything other than Christmas. I have everything I need/want. Storage is limited here too. I used to decorated for various holidays when our children lived at home, but it's changed since then. I do make the table nice for holidays and celebrations now, but lower key.

I understand that! I rarely do anything to decorate for the holidays. I saw this on Hobby Lobby's website for $10 and I want it -as its too adorable and I could do another little cloche with this sweet liitle house for anytime -all year. I think I have a bit on a obsession with these little ideas, that happens to me on occassion!

That is an adorable cottage! I was gone most of yesterday, and once I checked emails - yep, the dreaded "your order has been canceled" due to lack of inventory. No witch house coming to me. ::( I even did a reverse image search thinking someone would be selling on eBay, but did not find one. Oh well, always next year.

I am sorry to hear that! I would still fill your cloche with some small fairy lights and some greenery and a couple of pumpkins, or any of these ideas... I was eyeing them before I went in mini house direction.
