You have other options for materials for your Mansard Roof

You might not be able to purchase a slate roof, but a gray, architectural shingle would be a good solution for your home.

Online color isn't accurate so i'm not sure about the factual color of the brick - i suspect it's not as orange in real life. and you have a mansard roof aka French roof. it's giving me Château de Purnon's new render resotration color and slate roof vibes.

and, yes, I would march in this direction and calibrate actual roof color choice, paint color trim/door to the factual color of the brick.

Given that your second floor is all roof, I'd be very careful selecting the material, since it's going to be essentially siding. In Maine, many mansard-roofed houses have siding on the vertical part.

I like the current colors a lot. I wouldn't have thought peach, maroon and brown would go well together, but on your house they do.

First off, your lovely home is not a colonial. The architecture is fashioned from the French, Second Empire (think Napoleon). Your home is a mid-20th-century Mansard French inspired. Typically, the roof shingles are black, or black tones.

Also to my knowledge a Mansard roof is 4 sided as in the pictures posted by @BeverlyFLADeziner above. I would call your home a Gambrel style roof and would do it as suggested by @Emily

The door is Lowes purchase off white.😂 We haven't painted it yet. Good call on the black paint. It gets fiery hot as it is.

I agree on the mansard thing, too. These low roof homes are listed as dutch colonials in my area. I think a lighter brown mix shingle and a brown door white white trim might do the trick. We are looking to sell in a couple of years so I just want to improve the curb appeal.
