What is the source for the cove lighting?
Is it strong enough to be the primary light source for the room?

I used cove lighting for my recent office project. I love the indirect lighting look and it more than adequately lights up my office. So my opinion is yes it will be more than adequate. Since my job was done during a remodel I used aluminum cove lighting from Green Oxen and it was a straightforward install. Good Luck.
