Love this room.....I am going to try to make mine similar. How did you do the bottom of the bed around the box springs.

This is a platform bed. The upholstered platform is attaches to the headboard and the mattress sits on top of it. There is no need for a box spring unit. For an alternative, here are similar upholstered bed styles that do hold a box spring. Also, you could use a very tailored bedskirt and a standard mattress set and frame. The look would be very similar.
