The valance is way off. I would go into workroom and speak with person in charge. Is the person doing the valance experienced. Have a little OCD myself - we have a sharp eye for detail and we know when something isn't quality. No pay until it's right - Sometimes the only language understood.

Already was at the workroom this morning!! The valance looks fine, for a regular Kingston, but nothing like my request! I have already visited a new workroom that will get my next job. This is not the first error or re-do with this workroom. Uneven drapery hems, valances sewn inside out because they did not know which side was the face of the fabric!! Problem is they are TOO busy, with little organized process for quality control. I need them to finally fix this and then tell my client I had it done elsewhere!! This is the third project out of six total with this client that has been messed up!! Unbelievable. It's enough to make me quit !!

The answer to your question is that you stand there while they make it. If they don't know what they are doing, you can catch it there and then. Yes, it is a waste of your time. But that's sometimes what you have to do. Or you can take your fabric elsewhere and start over. Do not throw good money after bad.

Thanks, Apple Pie!! I am to the point of getting new fabric as there are only so many times you can rework stuff until it looks really bad. I hate the idea that their mistakes will cost me additional yardage!! If they cannot do it right, I am done with them. Too much aggravation.
