Master Suite must-haves...list 'em!

We are remodeling our 2nd floor to create a master suite.
Bath space will be 8x12' and access a large walk in closet.
What are you must-have items, help me make sure I don't forget them.
Lots of outlets, heated floors in bath, humidity controlled fan, gas fireplace, wiring for TV wall mount...

Depending on your stage in life and your plans for the house your should consider the shower to have zero entry and a large seat. A skylight over the shower for natural light. A separate area with a door for the toilet. heated flooring. Laundry shoot. Great lighting.

A large walk in shower....preferably with no need for a door..... A deep soaking tub...with a gas fireplace in front of the soaking tub.....and of course double sinks. Lots of deep drawers for storage of make up products....

Remote controlled digital shower. Curbless entry to shower. Lighted vanity mirrors. Concealed recessed toilet paper storage.

Fireplace, full showers for two, separate WC, and built in Miele coffee machine.

A seat in the roomy shower to make it easier to shave one's legs, or perhaps even to shower while seated. Grab bars integrated in bathroom.

oh - if you do the seat in the shower - add under floor heating under the tiles in that area - so it's not cold on your feet / bottom !! ;-)

Motion sensor low lights that come on and illuminate the base of the cabinets when you walk in the bathroom in the middle of the night. I don't have these, but saw an article about them and wish I did!

What about a built in vacuum at the base of the cabinet to sweep hair into.

How about a built in safe for the lady of the house's jewelry, or other small valuables?

Extra sound-proofing insulation in the walls/ceiling/floor to make it extra quiet for sleeping.

A solid core door - so you have a safe room to retreat to if there is a break-in when you're home.

(My home was burgled in the last 2 years which is why I'm coming up with the depressing stuff.)

A small bookcase and reading lamp for the reader in the family. I always have about 5-6 books by my bed.
