Walkin shower dimensions

I have a 8 foot long area allocated to walk in shower. How wide is adequate, how wide is luxurious? f shower head is at 4 ft wide end, does far wall 8 feet away need to be waterproof? 9 foot ceilings; should tile go to ceiling or is 6 or 7 foot adequate? The wall opening to bath is on the 8 foot side; can it be just 4 feet long? So the enclosed area is potentially 4 feet by 4 feet with an additional "drying area of 4 x 4

We have designed walk in showers that are approximately 3 to 4 feet wide and at least 5 feet deep. The shower head is usually facing the long wall that is 5 feet wide and is closer to the end of the shower.

I would definitely tile all the way to the ceiling. It looks best..........

4 x 4 enclosed area is quite spacious for single person use.
