What to do with "nursery"/"office" space attached to master bedroom??

We have a very large master bedroom and two walk-in closets (yes, we love the space) with double French doors leading to an attached office/nursery in which the stairs to the attic are located. there is no closet in this room and if you count only the free square feet (not the stairway to the attic or the landing below it), it's only about 12' x 9'. There is a door to the hallway, and some friends have suggested that we just remove the French Doors to the bedroom and make it a more private small space... Not sure if anyone wants attached nurseries these days, since kids are small for such a short time. And we converted our living room to a home office... we go to the gym rather than working out at home, so no need for an exercise room. What would you do with the space? It is just a wasted box. We have a chair and desk in there now that we never use -- just something to put in there. The other bedrooms have good sized closets too, so a dressing room doesn't seem to make sense. And the fact that the way to the attic is through that space means that it would not make a good bathroom ("excuse me while I take these boxes to the attic"), plus it would also make it more difficult to move large things up and down from the attic. Sorry for rambling, but would LOVE ideas -- hate to have wasted space!
