That is true. Houzz is all about inspiration. There is also value in seeing where specific items might be available sometimes, especially things that are readily available at retailers. I find that I use one of my ideabooks, "Want. Want. Want." as kind of a wishlist of products that are featured on Houzz. If someone wanted to shop for me, that would be an excellent place to start. ;)

It's tricky though, as many items are custom so they are not as easily obtained.

No one is intending to copy, however, some of the designers have wonderful product, i.e. the filing cabinet bench. Wonderful idea. Thankfully I contacted the designer and she was more than willing to let me know where it came from. Helpful and gracious.

I would appreciate seeing a lot more product tags also.

As someone who is outside the US, personally, I find the tags just get in the way.
