I am turning a den/guest room into a guest room/conservatory and I need your help with colors. I have a sage green (with brown undertones) sofa bed that will have to go right next to a turquoise (with blue undertones) upright piano. The room right now is Behr Silver Screen (grey) with a purple accent wall. I have newer white panel curtains with silver floral accents. Carpet is light brown. The room is reasonably well lit, with oak trim. We just bought a beautiful mid-century teak G-Plan credenza to go in that room, also.
I would like to keep the curtains and main wall color. What color should I repaint the accent wall? The sofa will be in the middle of the room, facing the accent wall. The credenza and a TV will be on the accent wall, and the piano will be on the wall perpendicular to the accent wall, nearly touching. I need a color scheme! My initial thought was to paint the accent wall Navy and find orange/yellow accents. But then, there is the sea-glass thing... What do you think?
