Hi Vicki. Paint color will vary in different lighting conditions. For instance, LED lights can alter the perception of the paint color when compared to natural light or even fluorescent light. If possible, test various coat applications on a sample piece of cabinetry or wood. Typically cabinetry will have at least one coat of primer, and at least two coats of paint.
