There is something about the area rug being the same size as the couch that makes it seem like a runway in the room. Is it possible to turn the rug and still make it and the design on it work?

The two chairs need a round table between them since they are angled....a table there will be nice and functional, too.

Abby makes a good point. We try to have all the furniture in a room have a connection to the area rug with at least the front chairs underneath it.

Wow! What a beautiful home. The windows are amazing! I agree with using double height window treatments in a light weight and simple fabric. Consider adding a contrasting color/fabric banding on the leading edge of the drapes for some added style.

I'm wondering about the fp? Can you explain it?

I also found the following picture on houzz in which they beefed up the casings between the windows and then only curtained the bottom row of windows. I like this look too but it is a little more traditional and you seem to order a more modern aesthetic.

I agree with the long treatments. Because you have such long length of wall, I'd make the fireplace a bit taller & what ever picture or decor u place over should become a nice focal point bringing the entire wall space/windows/ treatments together.

First things first, BEAUTIFUL home and furniture. I agree with the double height drapes in a lighter weight fabric with possibly an accent trim. If budget allows, I would make that fireplace surround much taller (even all the way up that wall!) which would make a beautiful focal point. You may notice in the picture posted that the drapes were hung with the top of the upper window exposed. I think that works with arched windows but don't think I would do that for your square windows. Good luck.
