Hi Megan, I agree that it depends on what colors you are partial to. A bright color could look great, but keep in mind if you do a vibrant color it will appear even brighter with the black leather sofa, to contrast it. If you do go with a bold color, I would suggest downplaying the amount of color you use when displaying art above your sofa. Opting for a large clock, mirror, or decorative metal piece would look lovely!
