Hmmm..... just responded to your question and it did not show up. Let's try this again :).

The average depth of a dining room table is 36 to 42" so I have to assume with your required depth of 18 to 20" this would be for a desk? Even as a desk 18 to 20" is somewhat narrow and then to find one at 5 to 5 and a half feet long is a challenge. I had a quick look based on your measurement criteria but came up empty handed. Sorry! I just re-measured and 60 x 24 would also work. R&B that as a standard size and brings the price down to 900 for a cherry topped one. a bit better but still a little higher than I was hoping to spend on this piece.

Seed interiors you are right about it being a desk. It will actually sit under our TV and we plan to put a file enclosed shelf under it for the components of the TV and it will be used as a desk during the day. we live in a small house and multi-use spaces are a necessity.

How about this one? It is a console table by Blu Dot. You could probably find it at a retailer in your city. Fits your price and style criteria but comes up a bit short, literally :), on your size criteria.

I'm back and have changed my requirements slightly. what do you guys think of this table? its new at C&B though they don't have it in the store yet. Its shorter than I wanted but I think it might work if I can find a cabinet that could be next to it (no wider than 23")
