Any suggestions for rotted window box

Hi, my house is semi-detached, exterior wall is brick and stone plus this window box made of wood which is now rotten. It has survived 16yrs of snow and hale. Im thinking of one of these: replace with vinyl siding or stucco or veneer stone. They said stucco is high maintenance. Im geared towards veneer stone. Whatever suggestions please include color that would match the whole picture. My daughters hated this mustard. :)

Hi carsanstocks, stone would be quite expensive consider the small area and all the custom cuts required for the curved window.

I would recommend a wood composite siding which comes in lots of patterns and colors. It's much easier to maintain compared to stucco as well, just painting once every couple years.

HI -- What you do on this window area has to go with the rest of your house . Vaneer stone is nice but it should also be else-where on the exterior and you already have a stone on the face. If you get more of that stone or something that looks the same . But I think you need to consult an architect to design what you need . Also seeing more of the front of your house would help .Thanks

I would just replace it with primed wood. I wonder why it fail only after 16 years.

One thing I hate to see is semi-aatached houses go in diferrent directions. So if you come to agreement with you attached neighbor on color choice I think it would benefit you both.

I light brown or tan would look good. Hopefully you can come to agreement. It will look better.
