what kind of wood?

I guess this is meant to make the planks look antique. I prefer a smooth floor with a continuous sheen, the floor has a pretty dark tone though.

Floors are AMAZING... Love the look - gives it so much character.

Provenza also makes a floor exactly like this. I have it in my kitchen... It is a walnut. Cost a pretty penny but make the entire look!!!! Love the white contrast and the texture with the ceiling! Well done!!!

I agree with angienmmaddie. I think the floor is hand scraped walnut.
