Library Lighting

Can you tell me if the indirect lighting is strictly the ceiling lights and their positioning/angling? Or are the shelves lit some other way. My husband is light sensitive - I'm trying to gather ideas on lighting his library in subtle tones - adding table / desk lamps for added reading / work light. Thank you!!

The shelves are lit from recessed lights in the ceiling. The busts are lit by uplights built into the cabinets.

Love the inset metal boxes w/ sculpture. Absolutely love the painting! Gives the elegantly defined but conservative room zing - the tone ref to your architecture.
