We are remodeling our small kitchen (11'4" by 13'8"). We went with black cabinet and want to make sure the room is bright enough using recessed lights and a pendant over island so it doesn't look too crowded. There is a ceiling box across the room above the window with is 11" in height and 17" in depth. Here is my lighting plan. color represent on the same switch. I am planning on using PAR on most of them. But should I consider BR for some of them which is not for task lighting? Also for the fridge corner, the fridge will come out more than what is drawn in the plan. Will that create a dark spot in that lower right corner? Should I consider put one more light at that corner and make the two task light symmetric on both side of the stove?
