In regard to future articles, I would really appreciate more information on ceiling task lighting. There are so many gorgeous chandeliers and over island lights but I hesitate to purchase one for my new kitchen because I need something that not only looks great but is also functional. I need lights that will focus on the prep surface but I am afraid they might glare or hit my eye level and become unusable. Do you have any tips for finding the correct down angle/ height that will avoid problems? Another area that I could use help on is choosing the right color combinations. For instance, a recent change to my bathroom counters and shower tiles has me now wondering what color to choose for the walls. I know I should have decided all of this previously, but an emergency overhaul precluded that. Now my shower tiles are pale grey stone, the counters are dark brown leathered granite and I would love to be able to keep the rustic earth tone tile flooring. But what color do I paint the walls? I would find any articles on how to handle these challenges without having to find an interior decorator. Thanks
