A Designer Highlights His Kitchen’s Stylish Details in 2 Minutes
In this episode of Houzz TV Live, designer Nar Bustamante of Nar Design Group gives a virtual tour of the kitchen inside his 1949 bungalow home in Sacramento, California. Bustamante highlights several details that give the kitchen big style impact in the relatively small home.
For example, a local artist painted custom refrigerator panels in a hexagon pattern that matches the backsplash tile. The cabinets feature shallow Shaker-style doors and a two-tone scheme — gray uppers and stained walnut lowers. And a deep and wide sink features several movable trays and other components to create a highly productive workstation.

The cabinetry is gorgeous, and what he did with his fridge is genius. Thank you for sharing Nar!
Beautiful, and such a creative solve for carrying the tile pattern around the room!
Fun space, I like the toe kick is the same as the floor. Great space to get to cook in!
Original, fresh and now I have to research those counter tops!
Totally gorgeous cabinetry, backsplash, overall aesthetic and all the extra touches. Could you post photos in addition to the video?
Only thing I would change or not do in same floorplan: Having counterspace immediately adjacent to the fridge is essential. I see counter opposite the fridge. However, I have both now (opposite and adjacent) and family uses the adjacent space more. The typical workflow is Fridge --> Counter --> Microwave. if we aren't cooking a full meal from scratch.
Beautiful!!
Depth of cabinet color combined with the rug, floors, light, countertops, just gorgeous. Thanks for keeping and working around an original window too.
Love it!
Really nice. I like the idea of the grout color matching the paint color. And the backsplash design on the fridge!
I love everything about this kitchen, especially that big sink.
I liked the sink. What manufacturer is it from?
I love the backsplash! The counters and sink are great.
What a wonderful, creative space. Love the walnut cabinets!
Gorgeous space! The runner rug adds just the right amount of color.
Very functional and beautiful renovation, and I love the back splash and your counters
Many visually pleasing elements, but the BEST part is the extended and multi-functional sink area. For anyone who does extensive cooking, this is a prep area and clean up dream! Hoping to integrate this when we do our kitchen/dining renos in another year or two!
Really innovative use of materials. I also love how it is fresh yet at the same time honors the home's age and location.
Excellent use of very small space. Versital, functional and well designed!
Just beautiful and so creative and thoughtful. Thanks for sharing.
This kitchen is brilliant. The backsplash design that has been continued onto the fridge is genius.
Have been looking for my dream kitchen sink and think yours may be it- could you please let me know the brand/model?
Gorgeous! I love the length of the 2 minute video.
I also loved the glass pannel tuck door off to the left of the kitchen, it ties in with the colors, and feels cohesive with the tiles and patern throughout -really beautiful , with the stained walnut cabinets
Thank you all for your wonderful comments!! The sink is by The Galley. Feel free to contact me directly if you would like any more information on this project. Have a beautiful day friends!!
Beautifully Done !!! I love the back splash tile you choose ... absolutely creates a unique and diverse look .
Hello Darling!
Ah yes. It’s just beautiful. Could you share who makes the cabinets?
