Good Dog! Cute Pooches at Home
These dogs were home when photographers came by to shoot their houses. Some greeted the photographers and followed them around. Other dogs did what they always do at home: lounge around, eat, play, snooze. Each charmed the photographer and ended up in the picture. See if you aren’t more than a little charmed too by these dogs of Houzz as they show you around their homes.
Keep Watching:

Delightful! Who doesn't love looking at beautiful dogs in their beautiful homes?
Thanks for sharing, Houzz!
Build into the slideshow are some really great interior design ideas for built-ins that make our homes more pet friendly.
And they all sort of match their surroundings! Delightful! thank you. :)
Thank you! It's a joy to see so many happy canine companions in their lovely homes. This is our precious friend.
This was just wonderful. Great slide show and some ingenious ways to set up pet beds and feeding areas as well.
Delightful, nothing makes me happier then see a homeowners dog in their home!
Here's a favorite of mine!
Love all the furry babies.
Completely astonished...!!!! totally in love !!!! :)
My Fur Buddy loves to go to work with me.
Beautiful rooms. Beautiful Dogs. This is Harper.
This was such a wonderful idea and brilliantly executed. Thank you so much, staff at Houzz. I've watched this several times now. Makes me smile. Here is my Dante, a chocolate lab, enjoying his new digs. A house is not a home without a dog.
I Love dogs!!!
Too fast! I want to relish all those lovely rascals along with the beautiful rooms longer than just two seconds each. But then I would probably waste the whole morning looking at them :)
Very good video of man's best friend; very enjoyable to watch.
Unfortunately, the only dog in our home is me as my better half and I have often quipped.
This is Bruno, my Lagotto Romagnolo. He makes every room he is in more beautiful. I love the video!!
The thought that struck me was how these wonderful canines made all these lovely homes spring to life. Thank you to the folks and canines who made our morning delightful. Good job Houzz!
Well, you've certainly made a hit with this video! Is there some way we can slow down the video so we can look at the fabulous pictures of the surroundings the dogs live in?????? I would like to really look more than a few seconds at these pictures....... Thank you!
dogs...are the best!!!
To me, "Home is where the dog is."
What a gift! Lovely set of pics! Made my day! Thanks Houzz. : )
Our 4 legged babe has beds spread throughout the house and the sofa is covered in blankets for her to cuddle up with us.
Not only are the dogs beautiful and cute...the homes are stunning!
our pup loves the furniture, the prettier the better!
My boys Arlo and Paxton...they both forgot they're not allowed on the couch. ☺️
Home sweet home! Thanks for the fun article, oh and the houses were nice too!
the absolute best feature on HOUZZ ever! remember: ADOPT do NOT SHOP - every animal deserves loving good homes where they're well-cared about, like these babies.!
Beautiful dogs, beautiful homes. Just shows our beloved dogs can fit in anywhere. Thanks. Houzz.
I absolutely loved this! Dogs are the best and they were beautiful in this short video.
Dog lovers have the BEST homes ! I loved the variety ( pets and decor) and top notch architecture. Well done Houzz.
Beautiful dogs and homes. Great video.
Oh dear. And I thought I was going to get some work done today! This is just wonderful and I'm hoping it turns out to be the most "read" story you've ever done. Here's the center of my universe doing his favorite thing: gazing out the bay window waiting to "greet" a passerby.
everyone enjoying the gardens.
A great visual story of our best friends and house guest.
Nothing makes a house a home like a dog :-). LOVE this.
Thanks for including our photo! We think that cute dogs and Jadite Barn Lights go together beautifully ;)
Fun slide show, but it moved a little too quickly. I barely had time to take in the surroundings.
This is adorable. Lucky pooches!!
thank you the kids lifted my heart :)
Made me cry. These furry beasts mean so much to us! Here's mine - gone but never forgotten.
I smiled the whole time! Thank you all for sharing, and for loving your pets so well!
Dogs are a part of our lives! Glad to see them included. As a licensed vet tech I can tell you that people adore their pooches! My Great Dane Libby!
Dogs are the best, thanks for including Ggem Design Co!
Love this! I always remember the names of my clients dogs, then all is forgiven when I forget my clients name. Peoples pets are a big part of the design process. It shows me how they want to live in their spaces. There are so many beautiful pet-friendly options out there.
Pets do make a house a home, however my dogs aren't ever in mine, but that's okay, because they have their own building, and it's nice only having to vacuum pet hair out of one building. LOL
shows us that a house is a home with a dog (or cat for some). Where and how did they clean the dog hair? Great video!
Wonderful!! We have two dogs and enjoy them soooo much. They too get to be on our furniture. Nice to see others do the same.
Best of homes and pooches!
Nice pictures but too many too fast. I finally just turned it off. Couldn't see anything anyway.
You've made my heart very, very happy! Thanks, Houzz!
21cylo ithad2bu b yonce You can also view and read about the dogs — and linger longer — by clicking through to the story, and then clicking on the first photo. Here's the direct link.
Had to represent the other party...
After all, it is THEIR house, no matter what we think! ;)
fun slide show thanks!
Here is my Nicky in NY and LA. I love the ideas and designs in these photos. Thanks Houzz!
Beautiful dogs except you did not show my dog, the Staffordshire Terrier/pit bull. These dogs are NOT a violent dogs. It's the person that trains them ! ANY dog can be as violent as the Pit bull is shown. They are great family dogs, very protective of its owner and kids. I've had two of them & my daughter/son in law have two of them. My daughter is expecting a baby for the dogs to protect ! Don't put down the Pit Bull , put down it's owners for training it to be violent. If raised/trained to be kind they are a good family companion . My daughter was raised with my first, but died from bone cancer.
You can raise a Poodle to be violent if you train it to be ! Don't believe it's only Pits that are bad. They're a good dog, it's their owners that or bad.
This was lovely, some pictures were so sweet while others made me laugh out loud. I adore dogs and my 2 boys (lost #3 a few months ago) have full run of our house, although it is a renovation disaster at this point... My big guy watched the video intently, perhaps he is getting a few design ideas. I've attached a photo of Eli, but sadly Schnitzel (red toy poo) was hiding when this was taken.
That was a happy experience and as fast as it flew by I think I picked up some good ideas for 'pet planned areas'. We all know our pets go for the human comfort spots when we're gone but what a good idea locating a all things dog (or cat) area. And I agree with musdir26 about the decor and dog seeming to match often.
Love to see happy, content dogs!
Mine ( 10 minutes earlier the pot had a beautiful array of flowers)
full of AHHHHHHHHHHHH moments.
Richard Fuoco Jamie Pit bull lovers: There's a pit bull mix named Darla at 2.21 in the video and on the second page of the story. She's adorable!
Wonderful article. Made my day!
I watched this while I had my first cup of coffee this morning; what a wonderful, heart warming way to start my day! Thanks!!
Fantastic! We love to accommodate the dogs in the houzz... Doors for Dogs! Very Nice. If you can see it Concept Windows and Doors in Van Nuys can make it happen... From Concept to "WOW"
The video is great but the music adds the final touch! Who is the music by? Would love to hear more of it! Thanks
I'm sending this to my sister who runs Bosley's Place, a rescue orphange for underage puppies
(www.bosleysplace.com). She will LOVE this!!
love seeing the dogs
Here is a picture of my dog in her favorite spot outside. She's gone now but not forgotten.
Dogs: they really are man's best friend.
So much happiness in one video! Ah that was so stress reliving.
Loved it! I agree, so many great photos but not enough time on each photo. And yea! A Samoyed made it in the cut. Probably not many, since they are contributors of major tumble weeds of hair in a home.
Wonderful pictures! What a way to start the day. Sending this to all my dog lovers!
Question: does anyone know what breed the dog is in this picture?
you missed one!
Great Pooches, Great Music!!! Loved it!!!
kkb898 That's a Labradoodle named Mr. Magoo. Cute, huh?
Very cute dogs who look like they are very well off!
Beautiful animal in beautiful spaces....loved it! Here is one more...SNICKERS
Lorwag....check out Snickers... he rescued me!!
I only had eyes for the dogs! I'll have to go back and look at the interiors now!
I just love seeing all the dogs at home. Great video! Can you please tell me where I can get or see the Red Dutch Door the Lab is standing up on looking out? It's the 8th picture in.
There's the picture! (didn't show up in post a few above this one)
you needed more German Shepherds, so here's Molly (rescue dog)
Owner's taste in decorating is often reflected in their choice of breed, don't you think? The dogs seem the perfect accessory for the room! What a delightful slideshow! And yes, ADOPT PLEASE.
our three, big medium and tiny
Ahhhhh, thanks for the awwwwwws, chuckles and giggles! Now we need MORE! With kiddos and pooches! And kitties!
Anne Colby - thanks for the link. Now I'll blame you for not getting anything done this afternoon! :)
I LOVED it!!!!
A house is a shell, a house with a dog is a home.
Love all the ideas for dog-centric built ins! You know what the say... Home is where the dog is!
Missy and Ollie love the pictures and are eagerly anticipating the refinished wood floors and stairway carpeting that we will get this summer! Arrrooooo!!!
Miss Molly melts into the fluffy rug. And one
more of her caught being naughty on the table watching out the window for me to get home. OK, maybe 2, the other at our cottage.
Thanks for sharing our pic of Dre enjoying his newly remodeled room by Redstart in your slideshow! We love seeing our client's four legged family members enjoy their new space just as much as they do. Cold Nose Warm Heart indeed!
Photo Cred: Focus Pocus
Love dogs around the house- they make it a home; Belle, Lucy and Kati-- the first summer haircut!
Michele Hart The red Dutch door was designed by architect Keith Summerour.
Beautiful pictures of our furry friends, they look right at home. Gustavo Woltmann
Love this! Keep those pooch pictures coming. Here's my baby struggling to stay awake.
I love how the dogs seem to fit their homes
Thank you, Anne Colby :)
Lucie, our Hungarian Vizsla, really making herself right at home!
Great pics! I think that a cat slide show should be next ;)
Another family dog in their home with a very special spot created just for them, referred to as, Simon's Alcove.
That was joyous to watch!
It used to be my storage ottoman. Now it's one of my girls' favorite places to hang out . . . after knocking all the pillows off the couch.
Sam I am oh the dogs ! That is what makes a home
THANK YOU for putting this together!!!! I love seeing so many dogs treated like mine are!!!! DOGS are FAMILY TOO! Also, really liked seeing the different exteriors and interiors like the Barn Light Electric Company photo!!
A dog graces a home
Its absolutely not a home until it has a fury creature in it!!!!!!!!!
The deck belongs to them - they think....
Luna our adopted pit bull couldn't stop smiling watching the slide show. Our long haired chihuahua & Luna's best friend Toby was watching a rerun of the Puppy Super Bowl.
Beautiful dogs ! Beautiful homes ! Thank you HOUZZ !
Watching this made me miss having my boys. I cannot wait to move to a place that allows dogs. Then I plan on putting one or more of the ideas in this montage to good use. Thank you Houzz for sharing.

@richard-i love pit bulls, so sweet, yes, it is the owners. this was great, so many proud home owners.
pure bliss.
LOVE it. Houzz has been my favorite website for years, & this is my all-time favorite feature so far. And the pictures commenters sent in of their pets are a wonderful addition. Every house looks better with a dog in it! Dogs do, indeed, make a house a home. Here's our beloved rescue pup, Bonnie.
I loved this! It made me very happy! Here's our dog, Betty White! She's a rescue.
My crew, at our Montana summer home....
my best friend :)
haha my protector :)
my heart :)
Master bath remodel planned in 2017. Shower will be sized to accommodate bathing our Irish Wolfhound. Now, if only I could find an "Emperor size" bed...our King size is just too small for the three of us but, we manage.
I too have a large 5 x 7 walk in shower in my master with a hand held device just so my Great Dane can walk right in! She LOVES her showers (which is good as she is bathed weekly). Will be 11 on April 4th so we are really lucky!!! Especially considering the horrible condition we rescued her in (a month away from likely dying) just as she was turning 1. She deserves every luxury!
We love, love, love these dogs...and doors too! Happy dogs = happy homeowners. We have Dutch Doors to prove it! :)
Our dogs at home. It's just a house without them.
Thank you for this delightful article! I love seeing the dogs in their beautiful homes and the ones sent by Houzzers in the Comments section! They are ALL wonderful! Now I have to go view them all again, and again, and again....
Loved seeing all of these dogs in their beautiful home environments. This surely took an amazing amount of work to pull together. I hope that the staff at Houzz is enjoying the fruits of their labors, knowing how much joy it brings to all of us. Here is my chocolate lab, enjoying his new feeding station and toy box with puck lighting. It makes everyone smile. The construction dust had not even settled and the dog already knew that the cabinets contained his goodies (food, treats, meds, shampoos etc). He eagerly waits for us to open them and if anyone goes near the cabinets, he comes flying across the room. Right above him in the small pull-down drawers are charging stations for our mobile devices.
Wow! Two of my most favorite things in one video - beautiful homes and precious dogs! I especially like the shots where the pups have their own spaces carved out somewhere in the home. I sent this on to many dog-loving friends Thanks so much for doing this for us dog-loving, home-loving folks!
Susan biesecker bless you for rescuing your Great Dane. Ours is in the comment looking like "oh poor me" and below digging the sun. Nigel rescued us 4 years ago and he's now 9( ish) good to know yours is well at 11!
My girl Koda in the guest bedroom
Geez these dogs live in snazzier homes than the average person.
wow what a buddy i love your smile :)
A house is not a home without our beloved four legged family members. Our doggie Diva "Cheepe" loves houzz and all the wonderful architecture dedicated to animals. As you can see, she also loves to sleep in Mama's bed.
My special boy, Kramer. He needs a haircut!
BamBam enjoying his bedroom!
Glad to see a couple huskies in there! Was getting worried that people who love their home wouldn't get one in a million years haha
Caroboo...Hahahaha hahahaha LOVE your third puppy!!! Hahahaha hahahaha lol
@abog, how many pictures of eyes glowing in the dark from under the bed can one show though? :-)
Wonderful! Who doesn't love sweet pups in beautiful houses. We love how people are sharing pictures of their own dogs. So fun! Meet Oliver, He's a free spirit like his mom. We hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday! Way to start it off right! Thanks for sharing Houzz!

The best part of life is sharing my heart & home with dogs our house is not a home without them!
Love it. This has always been one of our more popular landscape photos. Just goes to show how much a dog makes a house a home.
LOVE THIS! My clients doggies are often in the photo shoot...always makes the space warmer.
Charley
Aw these dogs look so cute in their houses. I think it is really interesting how so many of them seem to match the decor. Coincidence?
A house is not a home without being able to share it with a dog, cat or both. Bless everyone who loves and cares for their fur babies as part of the family. Beautiful video.
My beautiful boy Neo resting by the ferns
