Wonderful! My husband started our married life in a Airstream. Soon to be married 22 years, in our sixth home and 2 kids later those early days in our Airstream were the best and simplest of days. Enjoy every moment. Love this story!

Great job. We have a poor mans Airstream, a 1977 13 foot Scamp. Every time I see an Airstream my heart skips a beat. We have a solar set up and travel with an Irish Wolfhound and a second smaller dog. Yep, it's tight but a wonderful tight.

Human ingenuity will never die! It is so nice to see a person overcome tough times, keeping love of family in the foreground, and dealing with issues by "going simple/small"! It's not always easy, I've done this, too. But it isn't all bad either, like some people might assume. Take good care of yourselves! Rest when needed.

Great story, and a wonderful family. Clearly he has been put through some personal challenges but he has found a way to work through the issues and provide a fantastic home for his family. It looks like a great place to live. It is the people that make it home, not the box you live in.

Love seeing 70’s airstreams. Nicely done with the remodel!

We have a '74 Excella - only upgrade is new flooring. It still has the original plush paisley upholstery and the very '70’s airstream chandelier.

We have been travelling for a month and a half, and will be exploring Bryce National Park for the first time today. Here are our cats, waiting for their breakfast this morning:
