My Houzz: Mario Lopez Gives His Sister a Family Fitness Studio

Most people associate Mario Lopez with dancing. The two-time Emmy-winning host of Extra, former Dancing With the Stars contestant and Saved by the Bell star honed his dance moves alongside his kid sister, Marissa Lopez Wong, while growing up in Chula Vista, California. Recently, Lopez surprised his sister and her family with a garage addition that contains a dance and fitness studio for their home in Bellaire, Texas.

Kailee Wong? OMGosh - he's a former Texas linebacker. LOL Coolio. Even better is Mario...... my bro would laugh at me... but then we always help each other out. Family is great. Thumbs up to Mario, his sister Marissa and her hubby Kailee and their kids. They will enjoy that gorgeous studio for sure.

I just had to chuckle because I'm building a cottage in the woods wildlife habitat. And I'm searching for an interior decorator. Cindy Yates & Chairma Designs are on my list as a potential. Not sure about the distance between Houston & my house which would me additional expenses for travel, etc. Still thinking about it. LOL

I always love these kinds of stories. I wish I have a family member to gift me some home improvement project :) Or even just to help with decisions and offer moral support.

What amazes me the most is how everybody is so happy and friendly with everything that's being done. Wow!

My husband would forever be suspicious and feel that for sure everybody's out to rob him blind LOL He'd never just click on an image and add it to his cart! It's bound be cheaper and just as good elsewhere!

This of course is why we hardly ever get anything done properly or in a timely manner.

Have enjoyed Houzz for a long time. Love to see how Mario was able to show off all the great features of Houzz and at the same time invite us into see the love between the two siblings. Sweet family. Great design. definitely a space where there will make a lot of memories...I like that the space is designed to meet a lot of needs..... physical, spiritual, and emotional health. Pretty cool that Ashton Kutcher is the Producer.

@pachota: Large white sheepskin pillows are easily found. It also helps if you want to buy local in and around your area or prefer online. Easiest way to shop is to search using your browser "large white sheepskin pillows" and add in the name of your town or city if you want to see them in person rather than online.

BTW, I did a quick search and found many places that carry them. You could probably find them on Houzz if you search the products section above. You can even click on the links in the story with the photo about the pillows. :)

Ahhh glad you liked them- those were actually my personal pillows! That I've since replaced! Pretty sure they are ava on Houzz- We sell the sheep skin pillows-(26x26) great quality- good fill material- about $195 each - come in an array of colors. 20 x 20 are $118 each - better for a soft- not large enough for a floor pillow.

I’m crying The closeness the two of you & your families share is unbreakable! The job this contractor & designer with your ideas as well, came up with the perfect spaces & what the family members love to use it for.Love the hidden tv when the kids & the fathers are down on the floor no one has to worry about the tv.I love how you quickly decided on no to the more formal couch and instead chose one larger that looks like it can take a beaten and still hold up. I like the large ottoman that can be used or not used but one that both families can lounge on watching the kid dance or maybe just a great movie or watching their fav. Uncle on !
How great is that? Great job everyone.
