Take a Virtual Tour of an Interior Designer’s Retro-Glam Home
Interior designer Denise Davies of D2 Interieurs spent a full decade designing and decorating her own home in Weston, Connecticut. The abundance of choices and her desire to constantly change rooms around contributed to the long timeline. But one look inside and it’s clear the wait was worth it.
Davies mixes soft textures, high-sheen paints and decor, and fun features like shimmery wallpaper on the ceiling in the formal living room to create a cozy but energetic style she describes as “a little bit Miami, a little bit Art Deco and a little bit rock ‘n’ roll.”
Here she gives a tour of her lively home.

Such an inviting space and so nice to hear directly from the designer about the intent behind each decision.
Love this tour, fun to be a looky-loo when stuck inside.
Hip and cool but still comfy. Well done. Very curious about that shade pattern in the master bath...
Love seeing interior designers show their own homes.
Lots of nice things in this home. I am seeing more and more spice storage in kitchen drawers and I also like the fact that this designer kept her bathroom medicine cabinets. I thought they were going out of style since you don't see them much anymore.
Lovely design has such a calm, cozy inviting feeling. Awesome tour.
Such a cool home and good takeaways. Thank you!
Yup! I could live here, happily :)
These designer home tours are fantastic. Hope you keep doing them!
Lovely place! Sounds like she has the right contacts—painters, upholster, etc. That is probably the most difficult part for most of us.
Where did she get that fabulous sectional
What a fabulous home. I love the way it's been redone and decorated. I grew up in that area and seeing the updates and the outdoors-trees and stonewalls- is wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Great way to start a Sunday! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.
Enjoyed this so much! Thanks for giving us an outlet!
Love this !!!
Love the tub. I’m building now could you please tell me where the tub is from.
Fun! Great space. So curious about the V pattern on the master bath wall above the counter. I’ve played around with 12” tiles like puzzle pieces to achieve a similar look but this one looked as If the design was in a slab. Is that possible? Love!!
I absolutely love the den. Everything is so cool. Could those dogs be any cuter?
The entryway is gorgeous, especially the stairs. Very, very chic! I'm also finding myself drawn to the wallpaper in the hallway shown toward the end of the video (12:30 minutes). Nice touch. And what else? SKYLIGHT!!
Very nice. What is that "face" wallpaper in the hall (12:30)?
Love the combination of colours and texture in the living room! Thank you for sharing your home, Denise!
I really like what she did. A lot of it isn't exactly my taste, but it works for her house. I wonder why she had to live with that low ceilings in the kitchen. Oh well, she did a great job of making the kitchen feel higher. The bathroom with the skylight is quite nice, it feels huge.
Everything about this home is just beautiful! Thank you for sharing
LOVE seeing designer's homes, especially this one! Curious where the palm tree art work in the living room is from, and where she sourced the overhead lighting in the kitchen/dining area.
Well designed and look so comfortable!
Gorgeous! And how honest. Anyone who owns a home knows it takes years to get it just right. Keep bringing us stories like this Houzz. Much appreciated!
Beautiful House 🏡 Wow!!! ✈ 🦅 🇦🇫...
what is the name and who manufactures the shimmery ceiling wallpaper?
Gorgeous !
good job
Between her eyes going glassy & her body rocking in the seat, she was hard to listen to.
Am I the only person who thought the “ring thing” in the man cave would be hours and hours of dusting?
Your not the only one. I am a things person so dusting has to be done. Not my fav job. But that ring thing would drive me nutzo 🤦♀️
Aside from the dusting of the thingy this is such a gorgeous home I must say. ❤️
The ‘ring thing’ would make a stunning room divider. Loved her fresh, charming home. Curious what breed the gray dog is I have a Whoodle that looks similar.
What a glamourous yet comfortable and sensible designed home...Love it!!..My dream home, for sure!
Fun house, where can I find the pillows on your grey couch in the man cave?
Loved every room in this tour! She has such a fun and artistic style yet elegantly put together without being too over the top.
Absolutely gorgeous home! I love the playfulness, yet glamour and coziness of the spaces.
beautiful design ideas and the tour was nicely done
she seems like such a sweet person too
