Tour a Bachelor’s Classy and Inviting Penthouse in Atlanta
In this episode of Houzz TV Live, interior designer Ronald Jones of R Jones Designs takes viewers through a penthouse unit he designed for a bachelor in Atlanta. Jones discusses how he chose furniture and colors that create a relaxed, welcoming and sophisticated vibe for entertaining. Warm grays and whites form a calming backdrop for stylish accents of gold, wood and brown leather. At night, color-changing LED strip lights on the kitchen island, windows and elsewhere give the home a classy nightclub feel. And find out why Jones considers accent pillows such an important and effective design detail.

Beautiful space! And the designer has a great sense of humor! Loved this story!
Great story and lovely space! Kudos.
Really lovely!
It's classic and classy - with an edge. The thing I like about Ron's work is that your eye can keep moving, discovering things. Well done.
Excellent interview and excellent design. The whole design invites you into the rooms and allows you to be comfortable as well. Great job, continue the good work, and stay true to who you are in your designing.
Awesome! Beautiful! Bravo! Gr8 job!!! I can’t wait to see more...
Well done! I love how Mr. Jones really incorporated the interests and personal items of the owner into the design, and in such creative ways.
Really lovely. Modern but very warm and inviting.
Fabulous taste on the part of both designer and client. Love how the client's intriguingly appealing art pieces were so beautifully incorporated into the project.
Amazing! Love the colors, contrast, and the relaxing vibe. Great story.
Absolutely grand! I love this inspirations. I am looking forward to working with you Ronald. I am putting this out into the universe because it will come. Thank you for being you. Jackie.
The owner is a lucky guy having a friend who is a great designer - and listens! The attention to personalized décor items makes the space.
I loved this home! Beautiful interior. Wonderful view. The outdoor area was very inviting. I could sit there all day and all night! He is blessed to have such talented friend.👍🏻
Beautifully done!
Stunningly beautiful! Big windows are gorgeous and the view.
Wow, Mr Jones!!! Love everything you did: wonderfully composed spaces, lots of head turning accessories and your color choices are spot on! You have a great future ahead, Sir.
I want to be 30 years old again and live in this phenomenal space in Hot-lanta!! I would settle to just be invited to a party. Everything is so well-chosen, and it doesn't look like the typical bachelor's pad, at least not until you want it to with those wonderful LED lights. Wow! Just Wow!!
What a handsome warm and inviting space! So many interesting things to look at and FUN!! Love all the pieces and how they are placed in the space.
THE VIEWS!!!!!
Love it. Absolutely Gorgeous!

Great idea to turn the den into the dining room to make more space in the living area for entertaining.

one thing I want to say and see the interview of roof finishing
Beautifully done. I look forward to seeing more of your work!
Ok, I’m going to save this article and study it some more. This is just so great. What flexible, gorgeous taste. The thing I really love is that, well OK there’s a bunch of bachelor-y type stuff (ode to booze, dice in the foyer, designer labels), but those are the things that make a home. So if they don’t make my home, so what. I think the (design) bones of this space are fantastic! The fact that it’s calming, comfortable, cleanable (one RARELY sees that here). The kitchen is stunning. To put the dining room in the den where it’s more intimate is so smart! (to my mind it doesn’t matter that it’s further away from the kitchen because people don’t use dining rooms that often so having it in a cozy place really makes it seem more special.) And while the LED lights might seem nightclub-ish, somehow, it’s not too extreme. I could imagine my nerdy old lady self really enjoying the fact that I could get around the apartment in the dark if I woke up in the middle of the night (which I do) PLUS I would totally have a great telescope and take that LED action in a quiet, astronomy direction. Plus, the balcony is to die for. Just a total hit. Soft, with a bit of glitz, sense of humor, yet areas that can be real workhorses. Great great great!
Very beautiful, impressive! Is the fire on the balcony not dangerous?
Nice work Beautiful interior design 👌
Do the brown chairs swivel? If I were in that room alone, I’d want to be sitting directly facing the view to glance up at it at will while I read.
I love the dining table! Can you tell me the designer or a recommend a similar table?
Wonderful story and great job.
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the eclectic style, neutral decor tones, beautiful dovetail gray walls in the dining and bedroom! Every detail complements one another! ♥️
It’s looks amazing! Great interview!
