Tour a Spanish Colonial-Style Beach Home With Amazing Ocean Views
In this episode of Houzz TV Live, designer Rachel Morrison of Denise Morrison Interiors takes viewers inside — and on top of — her client’s Spanish Colonial-style beach house in San Clemente, California. A rooftop patio covered in antique terra-cotta pavers features an outdoor kitchen, bar, fireplace, dining area and lounge, all with jaw-dropping views of the Pacific Ocean.
In the kitchen, stain-grade cabinets feature some fronts with laser-cut woodwork that creates a uniquely textured detail. A cream-and-blue mosaic tile backsplash coordinates with other Moroccan influences found throughout the home, like the arabesque-patterned tile backsplash in a spacious bar area off the living room. Morrison also discusses her approach to creating a cohesive lighting design and highlights details in the master bathroom and bedroom and two guest bedrooms.
Those beams are stunning, the whole home is wonderful. What incredible views!
wowowowow! would love to be a guest in this home!
I’m in love with the light fixtures
This is a beautiful home located in my home town! However, strangely, my eye is drawn to the kitchen cabinet on the end that is missing its hardware. They must have been short 2 knobs!
The really great design just goes on and on Wow! The design and furnishings for this style of home is spot on and shows a lot of thought and skill by those that put this home together. Thanks for showing this home!
I am so in awe of this home decorating! I've watched this video several times. Fantastic choices in every room. The home is beautiful but the decorating of each and every aspect puts it over the top.
Looking to do a major remodel of our 1964 San Clemente ranch home. This home is the first I’ve seen that speaks to me in every design choice. Absolutely love it!
Absolutely beautiful! Theses light fixtures are everything. Beautifully done without feeling any particular space was competing with another. Props to designer and team for raising the bar in the world of Spanish colonial.
Lisa Stone we partially remodeled our 60's ranch house in San Clemente too (not the house in this article). Readers here would love to follow your remodeling journey on Houzz too! Good luck!
So love this home. So elegant & comfortable. I’m just starting to remolded an interesting Spanish style home with beautiful bones which just needs some love. My goal is to stay authentic to its architecture. Not the easiest task. So thank you for sharing these ideas!!
Great video. We are seeing the Spanish Revival style come back here in the Tampa Bay area, and it's great to see.
Where did the bar stools AND the dining chairs come from...stunning!!
Brava! What an utterly GORGEOUS home. I loved the great room ... correction ... I loved EVERYTHING throughout this breathtaking home.
Just beautiful!
I want to save the whole house. It's perfect. How do I do that?
Would like to know what furniture company makes the white accent chests in the primary bedroom
Absolutely stunning !!!
