What Houzz contributors are saying:
"My client wanted something luxurious yet still masculine, since he’s a bachelor," says Maika Winter of Wintercreative. "To achieve that, we used clean lines, contrast and a limited, neutral palette — all traits borrowed from the luxury hotel industry, which often take the same approach to project an air of sophistication while remaining gender neutral." A 7-foot-high crushed-velvet headboard accentuates the height of the room. Since she was working in a small loft space, Winter says she decided to "do the bed wall in a rich, dark wood-veneer wall covering to help achieve a greater sense of depth and set off the bed nicely."
Pay particular attention to the color theme in your bedroom, because your lighting will effect how this color is perceived in the room. Brightly colored rooms tend to need less light than darker rooms, but natural light will have to be taken in account as well. Learn more from a local lighting designer

To give your bedroom a look of total luxe, use a richly colored wallpaper and pile lush fabrics right onto your bed. Try an over-sized velvet headboard, plush pillows and silky linens.
